Last Hike of the Season

The Sunday hike was a great success — 11 miles, 1200 feet in altitude, about 4 hours. And they got back to the car just before the rain hit. What more could you ask?

As we’ve mentioned, it was the last walk of the season with Beate and Tim. They will be gone next weekend and we will miss them.

It’s hard to believe they’re going home already. Bless Beate for looking into the Valles hikes. She also checked that if Andy goes hiking there by himself he can let the people at the visitor center know where he is going, and if he doesn’t check in by 5:30, they will go looking for him. Needless to say, that’s a huge relief for me.
