Country Magazine

Andy and I subscribe to Country Magazine. He likes the pictures, I also like it because it’s warm and friendly. The people in it are nice.

The October/November issue had these pieces of wisdom:

When tempted to fight fire with fire, remember the fire department uses water.

It is easier to preach ten sermons than to live one.

Amen especially to that last one!

It also had a touching story about a beloved hen who came to live at their farm. On her grave marker they wrote,

If love alone could have saved you, you would have lived forever.

I imagine a lot of people can relate to that sentiment.

  1. I love that magazine! We used to get it in the office where I work, and I loved it for the same reasons you do!

I can relate to all those sentiments.

sounds like a wonderful magazine – I looked for it in my digital lib service – there are ones that say Country, they aren’t USA based rather UK or Australia – but still had fun looking at something that may have American ideas in it…and I shall probably look at some e-zines – as today is not a full on art-making day….

  3. I love most anything about the Country. I’m always thankful that my earliest years were spent in a country home—values that stay with you forever!

oh yes. I think this was the day I spent it entirely with the marine!
    I love this magazine too.
sanity and love in an insane and sometimes evil world!
or what feels like that anyway. 😀
