More Fallen Trees

Andy didn’t get up to the land until about 1 PM Saturday because of the dozen or so trees across the road. He carefully cleared the first one off:

But he did just enough on the others to be able to continue driving. He spent a little more than an hour clearing this mess Sunday.

just when we were talking trees…maybe we shouldn’t get into that type of heavy discussion again! Love the way though that Andy takes care of making clean cuts and so forth…

It makes for very sad reading for me.

We got the high winds, too. Fortunately, no trees went down here, though there were scattered power outages elsewhere in the state.

  4. It seems such a soul-destroying task! Does Andy have a long-range plan? Although I’m sure he has given this a great deal of thought.

He just has to wait and deal with them as they fall. A lot of them aren’t even on our land, and the road in is several miles long. So long-range plan — patience and persistence. One of our neighbors is starting to deal with one stretch of the road, so that’s a big help.

At least the flash flooding seems to be over — the roadwork for that was expensive!
