Andy’s Electronics

Andy has been building some electronics to make it easier to turn on the solar heating system. Now the process is time consuming, but when the electronics work all he will have to do is flip one switch. He will still have to go up to the attic to do it, until he builds even more electronics that will turn the system on automatically when the sun is out.

Andy never fails to surprise me with his talents. This is the latest in a series of his capabilities that you have written about. Nice way to keep out of mischief. 🙂

Impressive, I’m sure. There’s a lot of things I can do myself, but electronics isn’t one of them. I understand a lot of the concepts. While I was a mechanic in the navy, two of the systems I taught and wrote training manuals on were electronics based, but the training and the manuals were more functional based for the operators rather than technically based for the techs.

Electrical, on the other hand, I can do. I designed the wiring for the remodeled sewing/computer room we spend a lot of our time in, then implemented it.
