We’re not the only people with blocked culverts. The pictures below show the puddle Andy had to drive through Saturday morning to get to the first dirt road he uses to get to the land. Andy said the water was less than a foot deep, so it was safe to drive through as long as he knew where the road was.
Yesterday the water was halfway across the the highway, and the puddle was deeper and the driving marginal. It rained in the afternoon, so he took a longer route home. We had a number of heavy downpours down here late yesterday afternoon and evening, so it will be interesting to see what the situation is like when he goes up there today.
Needless to say, we have discarded our assumption that the worst of the rains are over for the year.
Today is suppose to be windy. That should dry things out. 😀 🙂 😉 🙁 Take your pick. Hope so because our roof repair man is coming tomorrow.
I’m not sure what happened to it, but I wrote a reply. Glad the roof repair fellow could come so soon.
variable weather here as well…
every year, I say “wow, this is different” but in fact it’s not – I just forget as the year moves on through the seasons…
wat seasons 🙂
Yes, we forget too!
