For what it is worth. many mountain sides affected by soil erosion due to indiscriminate tree felling in the past, have been reclaimed near where I live by encouraging the natural growth of weeds. Apparently, they hold the top soil together during the rains and thus encourage the growth of other vegetation over time. I hope that this happens there too.
That’s why we’re so pleased to see them. 🙂
New growth part of the natural fire cycle — I bet there are new evergreen sprouts in there somewhere. Love it! 🙂
We had to wait for rain for them to really take off. And, of course, the rain leads to flash flooding. We’re still happy to see it.
You can’t keep nature down. Where there is green there is hope.

ditto to everyone’s comments….
I love weeds. Dandelions should be welcomed & not sprayed. Besides dandelion leaves are highly nutritious.
I actually saw a dandelion up there. Again, yay, weeds!
Lets don’t call them weeds. They are WILDFLOWERS. A yard was seeded with “wildflower” seeds instead of grass. The flowers were beautiful. But they didn’t keep going year to year. Wildflowers decided where THEY want to grow.
Sounds good to me!
