They started putting the cross pieces on the supports yesterday, which was good. Not so good was the weather — blustery with intermittent rain and snow flurries. We had hoped they would have finished this part of the work while the weather was still nice, but it was their schedule, not ours. It is supposed to be sunny the next couple of days, with the next storm coming in next week.
We still hope the machine shop will have its part done soon. It would be nice to finish the project this year rather than wait until next spring. As usual, we’ll just have to see.
That guy doesn’t like the weather either. 😀
I wouldn’t have used the picture if he hadn’t been in it — it was too good not to share. And it makes me grateful I don’t have to do work like that.
I would not want to be on that roof on a blustery day or any other; I’m a chicken!
I’ve never seen something like this before now. Hope they get sorted soon enough.
Yes! I’m a chicken too. When we were building a shed years ago Andy was annoyed that I refused to go on the roof. That was his choice — I know my limitations. Then the other day when Andy got up on the roof to inspect, he told the guys they weren’t to tell either Steve (the architect) or his wife that he had done it. 🙂
Weather is so unexpected at times…for almost this entire week “rain forecast, gusty and not terribly nice” occasionally in the morning it has looked like the dark clouds meant business and I would pop my brolly in my bag – no rain or if any, a few large spots.
Today, Sunday it has been dull and little intermittent sun but not a lot to get hopes up either way. It has just rained a little, the ground isn’t even wet in some places…not sure what the rest of the day has in store.
Although, I really don’t plan to be anywhere – day off from essay words, construction and analysing other scholars…
I’m glad you’re getting a bit of a break!
