How About a Trade?

Kaitlin, Torben and the pups are getting more bone-chilling weather:

While the Sochi Olympics are becoming too warm for good skiing. It’s even above freezing at night.

It’s too bad they can’t trade some of that warmth for some of Kaitlin and Torben’s coolth.

If we were able to trade, down here in the Southwest we would love to take some rain/snow if anyone is getting too much.

For those that believe in the Bible’s Revelations, God is setting us up for Armageddon, with our crazy weather patterns, floods, drought, forest fires, hurricanes, tornados, tsunamis, earthquakes, polar cap melt–OK we’re causing that.

And YES this warm weather is killing the skiing competition in Soschi -Winter Olympics in Russia.

Sochi (typo or is it a brain-o?)

I do believe mankind is in for a rough ride — nature doesn’t care about individuals or even species.

I watched the women’s skiing slopestyle and men’s snowboard half pipe tonight, and the snow wasn’t ideal but some athletes still performed spectacularly.

poor old russia. how embarrassed it is. on so many levels!
    and YES!
we need to trade here too. it’s still dry. the snow (and thankfully the ice) missed us.
the marine is driving to florida. stopped in birmingham last night. he was just tired he said. . . then said he should have gone on. they are expecting an ice storm all through there! he said he didn’t watch the weather report before he left.

LOLOL. just re~read that comment i made.
wonder if i could fit one more “he said” in it! LOLOL. 😀
      he said… “don’t worry tam!”

I think the Olympics are a success so far in spite of the problems. My guess is the Russians are proud of what they’ve done. As long as they keep the terrorists out!

Did your brother get to Florida safely? The storm made the national news tonight.

having the weather so variable, with your top graph isn’t great – it gives a false sense that tomorrow will be better and whoopie the temps drop. Also it’s reasonable that more illness will be around, you forget to take xyz warm garment to work because in the morning it was “warmer” – even the most well planned person can forget something essential if the weather should change….

Today, this morning. At 7.30ish is was so sunny looking, another glorious day…then an hour later I noticed it was raining and it’s dull…looking at the weather charts it says “morning showers, then clearing” but IS IT? I was planning going to the city…late morning!

Take care everyone; snow and cold in Northern Hemisphere whilst Australia battles more forest fires (many of them lit by vandals); NZ at the moment quietish a few rumbles underground in the southern areas but other than Summer about normal – full range of summer/spring sessions.

One advantage of traveling by car is you can take extra clothes if the weather changes. It’s harder if you walk or take public transportation.

Weather forecasts are often unreliable, but they’re better than nothing. Years ago my favorite forecaster of all time used to compare his previous day’s prediction with what happened. His best line ever was, “One thing about the weather, it sure is unpredictable.”

No thank you. I am very comfortable where I am.
