After spending some time enjoying the sunrise, we hiked up to Hug Hill and took a break there for some training. On Hug Hill, we worked on “leave it”. I put a favorite ring toy in front of Shyla, and I made the game even tougher by putting a pile of treats in the middle of the ring. I told her to “leave it”.
This was her reaction. Eyes slammed shut and head turned away to avoid all temptation…

I smile every time I think of this picture and of the explanation. I check KB’s site every day — I’m a sucker for dogs, as you know, and she takes spectacular pictures. She also has trail camcorders that take videos of the various wildlife in her area — bobcats, mountain lions, bears, etc.
Thank you for taking time to share, KB, with all the things going on in your life. Take care!

That is indeed a fantastic shot. I shall endeavour to take some photographs of Chutki who is under training now at home. She is too frisky and it is difficult to take photographs of hers.
Train her to sit and be still! We would love to see pictures.
She definitely has some nice photos on her blog. She obviously doesn’t care much for that poor neglected dog! 🙂
Quite a collection of wildlife cam shots too!
Yes, poor Shyla leads a hard life. 😉
just LOVE that!
I do too!
Thank you so much for sharing this, Jean!
Your posts are much too good not to share!
I think a good many humans could get into that pose for avoiding temptation…
Nice photo story on KB site…thanks
