Some days are better than others.
It was a great afternoon here — bikehikebabe phoned! It’s been about 10 days now, and she says progress is slow but she’s getting slightly better everyday. I told her you all sent her best wishes and thanked her for letting us know.

Oops, indeed. I was expecting something different, like to Fed-Ex guy tossing a package in the yard, or something, because of all the dogs. I wonder what he told his boss. 🙁
I’m glad that bikehikebabe is improving — wish it were faster.
The poor guy. But it was funny.
It’s going to be a while for bhb, but at least she’s home and it’s gradually getting better. Tom has moved her computer to the ground floor so she can use it. That should help some.
What a clip! I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when the fedex guy talked to the home owner whose lawn his vehicle crossed as well as when he reports to his despatcher!
He seems like a nice guy, so maybe the homeowner was sympathetic.
Good to hear that BHB is on the mend and back home. Just being home will help a great deal I’m sure. Thanks for passing along our well wishes.
Saw the video you posted on one of the national news websites. Can’t imagine the emotions that poor fellow was going through. Hope he didn’t lose his job. Doesn’t look like anything was damaged fortunately.
I hope he didn’t lose his job, too. And he was lucky that no great damage was done. It could have been a lot worse. I was afraid the truck might smash into the house.
oh that poor boy!
smart not to try to climb back in it though!
and cute when he made sure he got his cap.
so glad to hear you heard from bhb.
recovery can seem so unbearably slow always.
in my own i kept saying … this too shall pass.
it did. only it was like slow moving syrup!
my best to her when you talk again.
xo ?
So it sounds as if you’ve completely mended now? No pain from the blood clot? I think of you often.
Oh man – I am SO glad no one was hurt. It’s funny in retrospect.
I’m so glad too!
glad to hear bhb is home, so much nicer to be at home than encased in the hospital rules and systems…
Yes. At the hospital they don’t let you sleep. They wake you every two hours to check your vital signs. It’s hard to heal that way.
