The heat exchangers worked just fine — Andy was able to heat the water in the reservoir from the solar panels. He has a lot more work to do to optimize the system, so he replaced the mess on the floor
with a work station.
He says he will be working there for a l-o-o-ng time.
In the meantime, some wildflowers he planted last year have bloomed.
Our Gravenstein apple tree is starting to leaf out.
And this Early Geneva apple tree he planted last month seems to be having blossoms.
That’s a big surprise. Mostly our trees up there don’t do nearly that well. All in all things are going well here. How about with you?

Great toy to play around with for Andy and it must be heartening to see what you planted grow and flourish.
Yes, it’s fun to see the plants grow.
so amazingly complicated looking and yet neat at the same time!
i love the burgeoning new life on the mountain. a good omen.
we got rain late yesterday! not a lot right here where i am …
but in the panhandle and the worst drought stricken areas… they got a good soaking!
LOVELY!!!! 😀
We had rain here too. Yay!
Fun!
1. This week I got the plants for planter surrounding the fountain (comes on with a sensor as you pass). The cold from the north facing windows & watering plants then, killed the pothos.
2. Railing was finished for the 4 steps up to upper living, dining, kitchen area. Tom designed, using Mathamatica, to match the rest of railing.
3. Got my cool new glasses.
New glasses? I’ve never seen you wear any. That railing project sounds interesting. It does sound like a fun week.
Getting ever closer to the end of this semester so at the books and keyboard making sentences make out they are all proper…not behind, although have had one extension and may need another. Should be all done by mid June…
Other than that winter finally sprung into action these last few days up here after the bottom of the South Island took a major hit with storm/snow – up here damn cold and this more a humdinger frost! So I stayed warm until the sun finally connected with the rooms…
