When we get rain we celebrate. What about you?

Sometimes we celebrate. Sometimes we just wish it would stop.
In 2012, we would have celebrated. We ended up losing several trees from the drought conditions of that year.
This year, on the other hand, our ground still has plenty of moisture from the 6 inches of rain we’ve gotten in May. One low spot still has standing water. There’s a good chance of more rain before the end of the month.
We’re starting to lose a lot of trees down here in our apartment complex. When they’re gone it will look a lot more barren. Wish you could give us some of your moisture.
Not us. We’ve had rain just about every day this year. Bright sunny days have been rare. But at least the reservoirs are full and the garden is well-watered. And it’s great news for umbrella makers. And leaky-roof specialists.

We lived in France for 13 months, and I used to listen to BBC on the radio. Mostly the announcers were sober and sedate, but once one was excited,
Mostly we like the sun here, but we do like some moisture.
We’ve had too many drought years. I remember the time when we had hard rains everyday at noon for at least 1/2 hr. Then the sun shone brightly right after the downpour.
Today & yesterday lots of hard rain. 🙂
Today it isn’t rain. It’s hail.
I like hail too, as long as we’re not out in it and it doesn’t damage roofs and cars.

it’s a total celebration.
so ooooooooooo long now between rains….

only 9 hundredths of an inch today…. where i am.
they got much more in the panhandle and extreme southwest of our state.
we’re told there will be more here.

Parts of India has been getting the South West Monsoon rains though the mainland will still be pre monsoon showers. Pune is yet to get but we expect a shower today. All going well, we should see our monsoon set in in just a week to ten days time.
