Watching Things Grow

Do you remember this picture from May 30th?

Cherry tree planted last year.

Cherry tree planted last year.

The tree has a lot more leaves now, and one tiny cherry.

There’s no guarantee the cherry will survive, but it’s still exciting to see it.

What passes for excitement in your life?

What passes for excitement in my life is discovering two choc ices in the fridge. Or seeing a squirrel in someone’s garden. Or finding that the book I’ve started reading is astonishingly well-written and thought-provoking.

A surprise dish cooked for lunch by my daughter in law!

That cherry is awesome. And that is the beauty of planting things and watching them grow.

Yes, one tiny cherry—how exciting. I mean it. I’m hovering over the new plants in my planter. They’ll thrive if I don’t kill them with kindness—too much watering.

Receiving part of the inheritance from my parents estate. (Prob. about 10%. Amazon wishlist here I come!)

Not too much excitement here right now but…
I do delight in getting a good photo of my pets or one of my boarders at work.
Or coming up with a new idea
whether it’s something I want to write about
or something thing I want to draw or paint
or something pertaining to fixing up my home and garden.
    yep, that’s about it.
Oh wait! I get thrilled when I find forgotten cash in a pocket or tucked into an odd area of my purse. 😉
