The Chronicle of Woos had a short post last Wednesday. It was just this picture of Phantom…
with the caption,
Please turn the heat OFF, Mom!!!
Amen to that, said I! It was about 90° here yesterday, too hot for us. But we weren’t complaining — we’ve had a fairly mild summer here so far. They predicted it would start cooling off today, and the change came even earlier — in a form of a refreshing shower last night. Yes, on the whole we’ve been lucky with the weather.
What about where you are? I’m especially thinking of you, tammy. It looks as if you might get some relief, and rain too.

I go to bed nude (the heat) & by morning I’ve pulled a blanket up. Night & daytime temps vary so here.
I was telling Lydia about man “forgetting” to drop his son off at Daycare & son died from heat exhaustion. She said a man in Sweden forgot (unintentionally) the Daycare & son froze to death in the car, in 2 hours. He was devastated.
Monk, you said digressing is good. 🙂
That is sad when parents are so overwhelmed they forget. I’ve read stories like that and they’re heartbreaking.
Digressions are just fine! Whatever strikes your fancy — it’s sharing what you’re interested in.
Phantom is very grateful for our recent span of cooler temps and lower humidity. Mom too:)

I’m happy for you all. Thank you for letting me use the picture. 🙂
I was away down South in Chennai where it was hot and muggy with over cast conditions without rain. Returning to Pune to rain and coolness of around 26 Deg C is like coming to Paradise!
I imagine it did seem like Paradise, I wouldn’t do well in Chennai!
almost Spring-like today but that won’t last August and early September have a tendency to revert back to deep chill of Winter.
We have spells like that towards the end of January too. They are nice, even if they don’t last long.
