For years, police have been in a cat-and-mouse game with an unexpected foe that can frustrate investigations—antivirus software.
— Wall Street Journal, Antivirus Works Too Well, Gripe Cybercops
It’s nice to know we haven’t been wasting our money all these years. Yay, anti-virus programs!

It is heartening news indeed.
Yes.
I can’t read the story because I’m not a subscriber!
I’m sorry about that. The quote and the title of the article are the best part. A lot of newspapers will let nonsubscribers read up to ten articles a month, but apparently the Wall Street Journal doesn’t do that. I tried finding a way to the article without being logged on, but didn’t have any luck. In the future I won’t add the link.
After having had major problems in the distant past with spybots and viruses on our computer, we now always keep our Anti-Virus software updated, just in case.
Peace of mind in this ever-hacking world. Some people are just toooo clever 🙂
What software do you use? We use Intego on our Macs, Webroot on the PC.
We’ve used Trend Micro on our PC for a few years now and, touch wood, it continues to keep us virus free 🙂
