One of our favorite jokes now is, “Let’s just tear it up and flush it down the toilet.” We say that when faced with paperwork we would rather not have to deal with.
Where did the joke come from? Andy’s grandmother actually did that for a short time when he was in his middle teens. Bills, checks, whatever. If it was too much to deal with, away it went. Needless to say, Andy’s mother ended up taking over the grandmother’s financial affairs.
Andy says he was horrified at the time, but every year he has more and more sympathy for his grandmother. So far we haven’t succumbed, but the idea can be tempting….

i’m thinking that might just ADD to the bills… as in having to pay a plumber later.
🙂
but after what you’ve been through in the last year with the insurance people …
I SAY FLUSH IT ALL!
I thought the same thing about the plumber’s bill!
Definitely tempting
Yes, 🙂
How I wish I could do that!
It is tempting. 🙂
sometimes I’m tempted to go off the “grid” 🙂
I’m certainly trying to simplify. It’s partially working. Better than nothing. 😉
