Andy didn’t do much on the truck yesterday, because it was the first of the month and he had to download the data from his temperature recorders. His thirteen loggers record the temperatures in the attic, well house, shed, battery house, kitchen, outside, bedrooms, etc.
Here are the temperatures in the kitchen and outside for the month of February:
There’s never any lack of things to do up there.

Nice way to keep him out of mischief what?
It does keep him off the streets and out of trouble. 🙂
agree… gotta keep the lad off the streets for sure!
Yes, who knows what mischief he might get into if we weren’t careful!
And I was looking forward to the end-of-story truck stuck. I truly think Andy enjoys those Adventures. We enjoyed ours (looking back of course). One such was when, coming down from the ‘Ski Hill’–it’s a mountain, we got to ‘Never Shine’ (the sun) curve & there were cars all over the place wherever they’d slid. Tom maneuvered our little VW through the mess. Couldn’t use the brake!!! Gotta get your excitement somehow. 😀
Andy is still making memories OR maybe he is recreating them… reminding us that through our life cycles we have the chance to make many more.
Just because we aren’t doing something we called an adventure years ago – there are still time for new ones, different depending on our circumstances. Before the forest fire and the rebuilding, I don’t think we really heard of the adventures unfolding here…
Builds for me a new picture of what is that “clicks for both Jean and Andy”
Before the fire it was mostly caring for the fruit trees, cutting firewood, and taking long walks. His walks aren’t as long now, and he still has a lot more work to do to make things easier as he gets (even) older. This new house is a lot smaller than the old one, but it’s a lot more appropriate for an 80-year-old. I just hope he can continue enjoying it for many more years. He’s an amazing guy.
