It wasn’t very sunny yesterday, but we had a great trip up to the land even so. They installed our drapes!
It’s nice to have that crossed off our list.
Andy also showed me the famous ditch where the truck had been stuck, and also his latest project in the battery house — the start of the system that will direct the power from the photovoltaic cells so it will be used most efficiently. Needless to say, it will be complicated, but a great thing when (he says if) he gets it finished.
How was your day?
April 14, 2015
If you check my latest very short post at my blog – you will no doubt see, there has been scrambling for more blankets and extra clothing layers!
At the same time, my body decided I needed to battle a cold – the kind that has you sneezing and rushing for tissues – what seems all day long…
I’ve been good though, cancelled all events, even if one event is going to be rather put out I don’t show tomorrow morning. But I think they will appreciate that I didn’t want to be responsible for around 50+ x 70+ olds’ getting a nasty head cold! I happen to be the baby of the club, I think the only one in her 60s!
May have to cancel the Thursday outing as well…hoping not to 🙂
oh cathy. i hope you feel better soon! colds are miserable things to have.
rest. walk slow. and drink plenty of water. … what my daddy used to say! LOL.
I hope you’re better by Thursday. Good luck!
oh sorry the forest home looks fantastic 🙂
Thanks you, but you didn’t have to comment about that. I’m interested in how things are going with you.
Peaceful. Quiet. The children are away on a vacation and Chutki is in a boarding kennel for the duration. I am in solitary splendour and having uninterrupted reading sessions.
it’s peaceful here too but for quite a different reason, taking it easy keeping my germs to myself and hopefully recovering from my head cold…better today for sure 🙂
How long will the youngsters be gone? I’m glad you’re having a bit of a vacation too.
Cathy,
Good for you for trying to avoid contaminating other people! I’m glad you’re starting to feel better. 🙂
i love your cabin on the mountain!
light… and the windows.. perfect… the blonde wood…
so minimal and nordic and well. just lovely! xo
andy’s pretty darned good lookin’ there too! 😀
I will tell him your compliment. 🙂
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE your mountain house decor, lack of, stark modern. YAY!
(Our house will be this after I clean out Stuff. All windows on the North & blinds only on West bedroom end to keep out afternoon sun & make dark for sleep.)
They will be back this Saturday afternoon.
Germs basically gone – life though not back to normal – many things either postponed or cancelled this week.
Yesterday celebrated another birth year of my life so although still feeling a bit blah took the day off travelling around local/city areas – weather was dull, no sun but I didn’t ever seem to be really cold until travelling home around 4.3oish…
Good for you for celebrating. I’ve been thinking of you and wishing you well all week. It’s nice to have some low-energy activities to enjoy when something saps our energy. It’s good for our immune systems.
