I don’t have cable TV so couldn’t watch the latest Republican debate Wednesday evening, but I would have skipped it anyway. I did enjoy parts of Stephen Colbert’s view of the affair.

i prefer my ‘news’ from jon stewart… how i loved that guy.
but overall… colbert was spot on about it.
i did watch this debate. i’ve watched both sides debate now.
and this one did seem to have a side show carnival aspect to it.
and though stephen colbert is just fine…
he makes me miss the grace and wit of johnny carson.
i always get the uncomfortable feeling that colbert is trying too hard.
I don’t watch TV, so I looked at three different comedian’s view of the debate and I liked Colbert’s the best. I was mostly interested in the video clips, they gave me all the information I was looking for. I do think Trump did a good thing in getting the network to limit the debate to two hours.
I am not qualified to comment. I prefer to wait till the elections are finally over to see who gets nominated and who becomes the next POTUS.
I was mainly interested in hearing the moderators’ questions and some of the responses. The moderators did not cover themselves with glory, as the saying goes.
I miss Jon Stewart too.
But at least Colbert was able to get the message across.
Very sad though… I think that people in other countries used to look up to America
and now they just shake their heads.
Apparently a lot of people are rooting for Trump not because they think he would be a great president, but because they agree with him that America has lost its former greatness. It’s sad.
