Yes, today I received two robo calls warning me that I’m being sued by the Internal Revenue Service and need to call a certain number right away. (Click here to listen to a similar call.) The voice was the same on my calls, but the phone number was different. Apparently the scammers don’t keep a number for very long because they don’t want to be tracked by the authorities.
The surprising, and sad, thing is a lot of people fall for it. Needless to say, I did not call that number.

I responded when I got a call and when my address was sought, I gave the address of one of India’s top politicians. Those calls stopped.
Good for you!
wow! that’s a cool idea of rummy’s!
never would think of that.
so far i haven’t gotten any calls from the irs.
i just hang up on all the scammers. but they are irritating.
I mostly use my answering machine to screen my calls. I agree, they are annoying!
it happens here about these hoax emails/callers – people especially like the ones where they will become trillionaires!
It’s really sad that people fall for the scams.
I only have a cell now and I don’t answer if I don’t know the number.
What happens if someone puts something in our cell phone’s voice mail box? Do we have to pay for that? The one spam calI I’ve gotten, and didn’t answer, didn’t leave a message. I assume most of them don’t.
