Does anyone else think this cartoon is funny? I laughed out loud because one of my favorite questions is,
How can I get this done and enjoy the process?
This cartoon does take the idea to an extreme.

The Quran Experiment: where do you ever find these good videos and cartoons?
Eric and I were just talking about Facebook and why we’re not on it. It has to do with, yup, enjoying –or not– the process. I’m glad you find so much for us to smile and laugh about, and glad too to believe you’re in there enjoying the process.
Thank you. 🙂
I agree with you about Facebook, I much prefer blogging. It does keep me busy exploring looking for topics, but it’s fun.
actually I find more than I could ever read, via facebook – many of my friends find extraordinary links and some of my friends actually are researchers in the fields I particularly like…
okay there are the oddballs who post strange things but the good thing about the Net is you can delete or not even read…your choice!
Yes, funny in a morbid way!
It’s the incongruity that makes it funny.
I laughed out loud (LOL, as they say). I’m not sure I always enjoy the process, however. I’m more of an “end result” kind of person. But I do enjoy the process of writing. Most times—depending on the topic I chose—I look forward with excitement when I begin a new story or article. I seem to enjoy the entire process, even the editing. That’s how I know I’m finally doing the right thing!
That’s how I know when I’m doing the right thing too. I don’t always know where I’m going, but I know when I’m on the right path and that’s more than enough.
i laughed out loud before i even read the post.
i guess i just love absurdity. i even like to say absurdity. it’s a fun word.
i never even think about the process.
things just happen. sometimes i help them along. sometimes not.
probably not the sharpest knife in the drawer’s observation. LOLOL.
but surely i have other gifts. at any rate… one has to hope one does! 🙂
XOXO
You have plenty of gifts that you share with the world, and I’m grateful. 🙂
well. thank you.
i truly wasn’t fishing for a compliment. you’re just always kind.
i only know that when the word ‘process’ is used… somehow for some unknown reason… it smacks of mathematics to me. and i freeze.
totally silly really. that’s the extent of my math-mind phobia. always. 🙂
and it can often not have a single THING to do with MATH!!!
process to me usually has me thinking artificial as in plastic or factory runs where everything turns out the same…. millions of something that not only I can buy but so can a zillion others…
tammy, I know you weren’t fishing for a compliment, but surely you know how much you mean to so many people.
Thank you both for pointing out your associations with the word “process”. I tend to like the term.
I try to remind myself to enjoy the process.
When it’s something like going to work and doing the “job” and I just don’t feel like it, I try to pick out the good things. Things like, that I’m able to step outside and be away from everyone and of course, that I get to be and connect with dogs and cats.
Those things make the process enjoyable but there are times, like when I used to try to diet, that nothing could make me enjoy the process.
The more we can do it, the happier we are. It’s worth working on.
I don’t think I could find a way of enjoying jumping off a cliff. But in general I’m quite good at finding the positive side of things I’m obliged to do. Doing things in a disgruntled, reluctant spirit just leaves a sour taste.
I agree!
