Some People Saw Them

Even though we didn’t go up to see the lights last night, some people saw them. One of our neighbors who lives on a nearby mesa asked Andy if he was going to keep the tree and lights up for a while. Andy said yes, until after Beate and Tim get back and Kaitlin and Torben come. The neighbor said good. He and his wife can see it from their window, and they love it.

If the weather cooperates, we may drive up some night next week. At the moment Monday looks good, but who knows.

Even if it doesn’t work out, it’s fun to think about.

i KNEW some people would find it comforting!!!
    i think that’s so wonderful. ‘andy’s lights’
hope you’ve got electricity. saw on the news where a lot of people lost it in NM…
my lights have flickered all evening again. we’re having ice and really high winds tonight. BUT… SNOW! i’ll awaken to a wonderland in the morning.

Enjoy! And stay cozy and warm. Everything is fine here, but apparently the state officials are asking everyone to stay off the roads so the road crews can clear them. And Andy’s brother in St. Louis says they’ve had 6 inches of rain, with flash flooding in places, and two more inches is expected before tomorrow. Crazy weather everywhere.

  2. I would love to see the lights, and I hope the weather cooperates for the feeling that I know people have from seeing them, can continue a little longer.

Nothing like others seeing our seasonal decorations and commenting on them. Manjiree goes ballistic whenever one of the neighbours comment on her lighting arrangements that go up for Diwali and come down after the new year is brought it. As I type these words, the lights in our front verandah are on!

hey that’s great – neighbours further away have seen the lights, looking out from their kitchen as well – making one realise how far is not so far when it comes to looking at a Christmas tree 🙂 [sorry that seems muddled but I know Jean you will understand me….]

    I like Christmas lights.
    🙂
    well, most of them.
    :/
As I lay in bed at night, I can see the glow of the neighbors tree and also a lighted hot-air balloon decoration.
    It’s pretty.
    🙂
But if I look out the other window I see a huge blown up Santa and snowman bobbing in the window and they are both dressed in camouflage and there are “spotlights” on them.
Yeah, those I could do without!
    LOL!
    :p
