We had about 6″ of snow last night/early this morning, so the lab and the schools were closed. Andy brushed off the cars and went up to the land anyway.
He didn’t need chains, and he didn’t plow because the weather is supposed to be warm so the snow will melt soon — a lot of it has already melted down here. It’s supposed to be sunny tomorrow, so this is typical February weather.
It was snowing when Andy left for home today, and we were happy to have a chance to check out our dish internet. It worked just fine, which makes us happy. 🙂

I’m glad the dish was working too! I know the worries that would be going through my mind as he drove off in the snow, with trees falling unpredictably… the two of you really live adventurously. btw, all the retired people I know do lots of different things, and yes, sometimes also forays to the land of beaches and swimming. 11 year-old Kate said to me the other day, as she listened to me talk about my life: “I sure wish I was retired.” School, I guess, can feel pretty confining.
I cheerfully admit, I wouldn’t want to be 11 again. We’re lucky to have the choices we do.
wow.
I had some serious catching up to do.
I just about ‘did in’ my computer!
the marine fixed it for me today.
I didn’t realize how much I love it!
we got a nice rain from all that snow that moved through your place.
by the time it got it our temps were too warm and it rained.
THANK YOU! we needed it so much. xo
I’m so glad you’re back! We missed you — thank the marine for us.
I’m glad you got some rain. 🙂
Here on the other hand, what tended to be a warming up process, early for February, tapered off and the temperatures are falling to normal February levels. The weather is the craziest topic of discussion here.
Yes, weather is always a great topic. 🙂 Parts of NM are having a hazardous weather advisory — no precipitation but drying winds creating a fire hazard.
it’s still hot as here…although it does get to reasonable levels some time in the night and I sit here around 7-8am it’s still nice…
