    ohmygosh! lol!
    yup.
    not the place to be.
    it’s a rather love/hate relationship I have with them.
I’ve gone in for one thing and they saved me but then they created an even bigger problem THEY caused before I could leave. not good.

Unfortunately that happens a lot. The neurosurgeon author of the last book I read said he hates hospitals too.

  2. Have you ever been around somebody whose phone battery just died? Yep, it’s the end of the world. So I’m not surprised…

    • Jean says:

Andy has to charge his every day up on the land, so he has regular routine. He uses it only to receive my one text from down here, but for some reason it runs down very fast up there. Other people have the same problem.

I have a set routine for charging my phone every morning and cannot simply understand how people forget to charge theirs. This cartoon is morbid and funny at the same time,

    both sad and funny…

I can remember a time when we had completely hands free – other than holding a wallet or a handbag! Now it’s holding a little flat piece of something that occasionally needs to be opened or held to one’s ear!

I do have that flat piece but it’s always tucked in my bag, and half the time I come home and find I missed a “call” or there are “texts” waiting for answers…

    • Jean says:

I never take mine with me — I just text Andy once a day to make sure I can still get through. He always has his with him, so when we leave town we use his.

  5. Linda Sand says:

When in a remote area a cell phone can use up battery just searching for towers. When up on the land, if you are not expecting calls, you can put your phone in airplane mode and it will stop searching. When you come back down, be sure to turn that mode off and check for anything that came in while you were out of touch.

    • Jean says:

Thanks for the suggestion, but the only reason we have the phones is so I can contact him if necessary. I send one short message every day he is up there and that part works fine. His texting me doesn’t work well at all, so we also have satellite internet so he can send me emails. He sends me one every afternoon, and for the most part that is reliable. It didn’t work because of the snow in the dish May 1, and he didn’t want to get out the ladder and climb up to clear the snow off of it. 🙂

I saw on the News the top three reasons people die in hospitals.
#1 Heart Disease #2 Cancer #3 Hospital error.
