I can’t imagine where that fellow got the idea that dogs never want anything, but the Sibes over at The Thundering Herd just wrote a post on the matter. They not only want to be fed, they want their dinner to be on time!
Here are three of the Sibes waiting for Hu-dad to finally get them their food:
He certainly wasn’t showing much gratitude for all they do for him!

I wonder how many times we misread the animal request…for whatever they thought they should need…
They’re pretty good about telling us they want food and walks. I don’t know about other things.
With a dog at home I can vouch for one thing. Dogs too ask for things. Like snacks, petting, to be let out etc.
I agree. Dogs have thrived because they’ve learned to connect with humans and to communicate their wishes.
When your pet comes and shoves its head under your hand, is that not a request for you to scratch between its ears?
Thank you for bringing our plight to your readers’ attention. Can you imagine the horror of our dinner being late. Egads – late. What are we pups to do?
