As we said, the store where Andy got his early-maturing tomatoes (Early Girls) last year didn’t have them this season, but he found some at our supermarket Wednesday evening. How cool is that?
They definitely look better than the ones he planted, but as usual, there are no guarantees.

The difference between amateur and professional gardening?
No, Andy has had good luck in the past. In fact, we tried some nice looking nursery plants years ago and it took him years to get rid of the white flies they brought with them. From then on in our old house he only grew his tomatoes from seeds. The greenhouse now isn’t completely enclosed so nursery bugs aren’t much of a problem.
that’s great news…roll on seeing you with a large bowl of ripened tomatoes…
We will let you know how they turn out. 🙂
Now that’s better! Hope you enjoy your lovely red plump tomatoes!
Thanks. We will let you know. 🙂
