Crisis in the family affects everything and everyone! I’ve had my share of that when my daughter had a prolonged illness as a young child. I just couldn’t focus on keeping everything going while she was ill. In her case, she had high fevers due to infections caused by a mal-formed ureter. Eventually, she had an operation, and improved immediately. I can’t forget how distraught I felt each time she was ill, and how grateful I felt when people came to help!
there are no pets here…so that’s not the kind of issue presented here…one of my friends made me a “moving soup” – it’s a bit fiery but I think I can cope – if I work through it bit by bit – mixing it with something “softer” – and there is a 2nd lot in the freezer…she provided some extra food for the day as well.
since then I’ve acquired a “welcome to our block, my only other neighbour” interesting shortbread from the Phillipines & “thank you being a great tenant” box of chocolates…from the Patels.
I was there yesterday to hand over the keys, the house was empty but I felt no sadness of leaving it – rather I felt sad for the bones of the structure. I hadn’t planned on being inside – but it was pouring cats & dogs (raining)
My family dog does not suffer in case of any crisis. I do.
As long as you feed the pup on time. That’s the important thing. 🙂

It’s a lot easier to deal with our own problems than to watch loved ones, especially children, suffer.
snoopy the philosopher. 🙂
Yes. 🙂
I have a rule in my home.
The pets get fed first.
😉
Yes, important things first. 🙂

I can understand why you would feel sorry for the place. I’m so glad you’re away from the owners, though.
