Thanks for the laugh, Jean. My sentiment entirely. Also reminds me of the repeated and rather cryptic mumbling, at times of crisis, of a once upon a time boss of mine, the marvellous Maggie: “It never pours but it rains”. Pardon?

I don’t see why there is so much dismay. I think that the world will see very interesting things happening with Trump as POTUS.

The flow continues to stagnate in the US. It is not about to go down any drain as it has already reached the bottom if one can trust the pundits who have analysed the result.

This isn’t a political cartoon, it’s about the idea of going with the flow, assuming things will always turn out fine. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. We have a friend who never worried about the future. He’s hardworking, is in his mid to late 60’s, and is starting to have health problems. He says it’s his own fault because he never saved money when he could have, and now he can’t afford to retire. He’s worried about how long he can continue to work.

    LOLOL!
    and like rummy…
now that it’s a done deal… my curiosity is peaked. peeked? peaked.
    what a weird word.
well. you know what I mean. what will he do? he’s bragged so much.
if trump is a man of his word… at least it will be a different ball game?
    or… maybe not.
we shall see. it may just be a bigger mess than the campaign was!

  4. I’ve never really been a go with the flow kind of person, or “when in Rome.” I’m a more “go to the beat of my own drum,” and I’m okay with that. 🙂

I’m more of a “When the wind stops it’s time to start rowing.” An old Polish proverb, I believe. I read it about 50 years ago and took it to my heart.

  5. Cathy in NZ says:

I’m in a flow of my own, most of the time…except when I need to branch off onto a tributary that is “governed” as such…

    • Jean says:

Yes, it sounds like you’re in the flow state a lot of the time, because you choose your own projects. We’re very similar that way.
