    well….
I guess if you had written, “don’t trust how your read your premonitions”.
    yeah, I’d agree with THAT.
I think we are always having signs sent to us
but the message isn’t always clear to us
or we don’t take the time or allow ourselves to really think it through.
Or we do think it through but prefer to think what we want it to be.
(that being said, my Dad really hurt my feelings in a phone conversation on a Tuesday night and I bit my tongue and did NOT lash out. I figured he was old and he’d never change how he felt anyway so why argue when you never know if they will be around for long and … he died unexpectedly the next morning.
    yep……. )

I agree with your wording. I thought about changing mine, but I decided to be lazy. 🙂

One never knows when it will be our last encounter with a person, so it pays to be considerate. Sometimes that means not saying anything, sometimes it means telling the other person how we feel without lashing out.

    yes.
I had an actual premonition at least once that I know of.
actually it was in the form of a dream. if that can be called a premonition?
I dreamed my daddy died. but it wasn’t sad or scary.
in the dream he was sitting up in the coffin. he was having a cup of coffee.
I was sitting in a chair beside it. we talked and he drank his coffee. he was just casually leaning his arm on the side of the coffin. like it was a boat or something.
and he said “there’s nothing to be afraid of. and it’s not sad. I’m just fine so don’t be sad. you and I know what it’s really about. they don’t.”
we talked about school and things but those words are the only ones I really remember.
I told a friend about it when I got to school the next morning.
but as kids do… I never mentioned it to anyone else.
it was a very strange dream. but comforting somehow too. just totally weird.
he died at work of a heart attack not long after that.
when I saw my friend after it was all over and I was finally back at school…
the first thing she said to me was “tammy. remember your dream?”
    so yes.
I think sometimes we are sent premonitions. maybe to ease things? or prepare us? who knows.
but I love the cartoon! you always make me laugh!

  3. Rummuser says:

Premonitions are coincidences waiting to happen.

  4. Personally, I’m not that in touch with cosmic forces to have had many premonitions during my life. But I’ve had a few that I was grateful to have had because it prepared me for what was to come.

    • Jean says:

I don’t think I’ve ever had a premonitions. But I’m a Six on the Enneagram, and we expect problems and like to plan ahead. That trait has stood me in good stead.

Interesting thought. I suppose it’s all a matter of perspective: is it a premonition, that sense of deja vu or perhaps indigestion. For the most part, gut instinct is a good thing. As Henry Ford once said: whether you think you can, or you think you can’t.. You’re right!

    • Jean says:

We’ll have to see how The Donald does. He trusts his gut instincts. Will it be enough?

I went to your site and enjoyed your discussion of dogs for seniors. I’ll stick with pictures and visits from my granddogs and visits to my favorite dog blogs. I’m too lazy now to have a dog of my own. 🙂
