This reminds me of a fellow I knew years ago. He said,
You know when you’re in trouble when your doctor asks you, “Tell me, Mr. S…, do you believe in God?”
He laughed when he told me, but he was worried for good reason.

That is a macabre sense of humour! I would have been quite shocked had I been asked that by any doctor.
This fellow had a delightful, and profound, sense of humor. I still think of him warmly 40 years later. (He did live many years more.)
I’m surprised I haven’t had one of those cards.
my “numbers” as they like to call them are always so horrendous.
they worry incessantly about them. and yet… I don’t worry. I’ve simply stopped worrying about them. and…
i’m still here!
You’re wise. Often the treatment is worse than taking our chances and continuing to live our lives. I just finished listening to When the Air Hits Your Brain — Tales from Neurosurgery. It included examples of aggressive treatment turning out to be disasters.
I would not make a good doctor. I agree with a fellow I read recently. He said his father was a doctor and he expected to go into medicine, too. Instead he went into science because when you make a mistake in medicine you hurt people. When you make a mistake in science you learn something. Yes! Lifelong learning without the guilt.
oops -this is so not good…
i know it’s just a cartoon!
Yes. So not good!
Not good – but funny 🙂
Yes. It pays to have a sense of humor. 🙂
