    How true.

I’ve known too many who have had to have knee or hip replacements. I’m thankful for how few aches and pains I have compared to so many others.

    This is totally me today!
It’s my day off and I wanted to clean house and move the furniture to different rooms and I wake up with my back killing me and it feels like my hip is out…
    It’s Hell getting old.
    :/

when I read that book last year… “wheat belly” by dr. william davis…
and I gave up ALL wheat and sugar…
all joint and back pain simply disappeared. it was truly amazing.
he said it would. and it goes away very quickly when you stop eating those two things.
but… human nature being what it is ‘taste~wise’ … I guess I apparently would rather put up with the pain.

i learned another lesson about listening to my body last week when i fell on slippery rocks and broke my arm. a tiny voice was saying don’t do it, but the much bigger voice from years of experience said, go for it, don’t be a wimp. however, the tiny voice was trying to point out that years of experience also mean years of aging, and it was definitely time for me to get observant and respectful about the aging part.

Staying home and playing computer games has become my normal. I am, unfortunately, learning how little my body is able to care for me after years of me not caring for it.

how interesting… finally after another round of severe coughing last evening, decided on a trip to the doc (wait list for sure) and finally a doctor I’ve seen before -checks me out and finds that the

“coughing, the nasal back drip, the hayfever” all linked straight back to Asthma – he was one of the docs who said “you don’t need the A-med” now he is saying “sometimes we don’t get it right”…

so back on A-med & to top up with coughing fit starts up…and then a few weeks time just go back to the regular amounts twice a day 🙂

but he loved my new low and normal B.P. reading and asked if I needed any more vertigo pills…

I don’t need inclement weather to persuade me to stay at home instead of going out on adventures. They will more likely turn out to be misadventures for me.
