The 3.6 miles being a private road?
Partly private, partly just not maintained by any government entity.
Beautiful pics! Makes me homesick for my original home in Northern Alberta!
I can imagine you would miss it!
ohmygoodness! what a treat.
wonder if that means they’ll do regular upkeep on it now.
if so… that will make the spring mud mess a lot easier!!!
such beautiful country. even with all the dead bones of the magnificent forests.
the memory of that horrible fire lives on. and yet its so beautiful still.
especially in the snow. xo
It’s spectacular with the snow and winter light. We’re not counting on them doing it regularly, but Andy appreciates any help he gets.
agree
Reminded me of the family cabin at the end of a dead end of a rerouted county road. We arranged for them to plow it only on Fridays if it had snowed that week. That way we could go up for weekend retreats but they didn’t have to plow every time it snowed. Plus, the sheriff did his cabin check rounds on a snowmobile which he drove up our circular driveway. So we could park on the road and walk up the packed driveway to get to our snowshoes rather than have to haul them to and from the city each trip. Dave & I went up once a month except for November when the hunters were out.
That was great service!
So nice to look at but I wouldn’t want to be out plowing it!
Good to read that Andy had some help!
😉

I wouldn’t either. He spent most of today plowing and will have to do more tommorow because of the wind and drifts.
Andy seems to like all “seasons” – what a blessing…of course when he gets to his forest home, he has his fire etc.
We had a most awful storm here last night – my first in my new home…the lights were flickering so I got out a torch, and certain other things. The power stayed on – but a friend of mine in the next suburb, still has no power (big area East of here affected…)
I woke to find some sort of plastic ring lying in my turnaround – obviously blew down driveway – the grapevine will need some tying up again – but otherwise no broken branches etc here…
