Oh no!! When we could not see it I had hoped it just fell or something. So sad…
What’s even sadder is the redwood tree may be dying. We will have to see.
Unfortunate. Will he replace it with a new one again?
Beate says she will bring a replacement, so yes. She and Tim are great neighbors.
maybe he could put up a taller post and have a colorful flag on it?
i’ll be so glad when all those sad dead trees have fallen!
but not as glad as andy probably!
There are plenty more to fall, unfortunately. Beate says she will bring a replacement ball, and we’ll keep our fingers crossed. And try painting the post yellow to see if that makes it more visible.
Where Andy takes the patience from with that piece of land I do not know. If I were him I’d just lock up shop and buy a (very small) cactus instead.

He’s only 82, still to young to give it up yet. 🙂
We will bring a replacement. Fewer trees left now that can get the replacement.
Thank you. Fingers crossed. 🙂
oh bugga!
and it looked so colourful…
I love gazing balls, and hope to buy one for my garden. You have inspired me! If I had one, though, I think I’d bring it in for the winter. Our high winds would probably blow it to bits!
That sounds like fun. Please take a picture and post it when you get one.
