Good for Them!

So many people think negatively. If you start with ‘You know what I hate,’ you’re going to go right down the tubes. I know it sounds boring, but I am a positive thinker. I’m a cock-eyed optimist. That’s how I’ve stayed happy all my life. You’ve got to get through it. You can’t change it. So let’s just [put] one foot in front of the other and get through it.”
—Betty White, 95 years old

This quote reminds me Cathy in NZ. I wouldn’t call her a cock-eyed optimist, but she doesn’t focus on what’s wrong in life. She knows life has never been and never will be perfect, and she’s living the life she has to the fullest.

Good for Betty White, good for Cathy!

I am another admirer of Cathy’s spirit of just getting on with life. I had to google for Betty White and found her listed in the Wikipedia which makes for fascinating reading. It now seems so funny that she could not find roles in her early days because she was unphotogenic!

I totally agree about cathy AND betty… AND being a cockeyed optimist. 😀
and that betty… 95 and still going strong. right along with doris day.
and both of them loving life (and passionate about animals) all the way!

just got here, been a busy few days – nailing down art, writing feedback/worklog and so forth for Aaron (mentor) – thanks for your compliments on what I might do sometimes 🙂

If you stroll over to my blog you will (maybe) that Aaron wants me to follow my own pathway – but he did make some interesting observations on what/why/how that might unfold – especially what I had managed to digitally send to him.

he is encouraging me in words that I haven’t really heard anyone say about my art-making…

I’ve only felt hatred for two people in my entire life. I prefer to just work around people rather than waste my emotional energy on hating them.

I can hate things, but they’re easily replaced by other things I like, or else ignored, so no problem there either.
