The conversation as Andy left for the land Friday morning:
Andy: I hope I don’t get stuck.
Me: If you do, take some pictures.
He laughed.
He didn’t get stuck, but he took pictures anyway.
We clearly did the right thing by having our picnic Wednesday evening. It snowed again yesterday.

I feel cold just looking at the pictures….brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Yes, Andy worked inside, designing his schematics. It was toasty warm in there.
sad to know that it once was all wonderfully green.
it takes so long to grow a tree.
like looking at a beautiful ghost forest.
It really is amazing how different it looks on a clear day vs when engulfed in clouds.
The tree on the left is the one tree on our land that survived the fire. The one on the right is on Forest Service land.
This is a picture of the land going up in flames in 2011. It was a lot greener then.
Here we are being warned about temperatures going up to 40 degrees and you get snow! It is so unfair.
That’s way too hot!
We have had a beastly winter, and a worse spring! We would welcome some summer heat! But we don’t have snow…thankfully.
Actually I like the snow this time of year. I don’t do well when it gets hot.
