That’s the thing about cats: They’ll chase anything that moves. Even butterflies. A merry old dance that makes.
Your clip reminds me of some years ago when I bought a dvd which was no more than the simulation (in absence of the real thing) of an aquarium full of exotic fish. There was something Zen like about it when passing through the living room and there they were, colourful, silent, and, well, swimming. Until it caught one of our cat’s attention. She kept swiping at the screen. Obviously without any discernible result. That particular cat was very vocal. You could literally have a conversation with her and her various miaous. As all her efforts came to nothing her voice (and her chin) started quivering with frustration. I turned it off. Never played it since though Fleury has long been dead.
Haas, one of Kaitlin and Torben’s cats loved cat videos of birds, squirrels, etc. She would watch it for hours. Boomer, their other cat, wasn’t interested at all. As usual, DPLDT.

Cute. I won’t let a cat or a dog play like that on my laptop!
Here’s a picture of Haas using the laptop.
I’m so glad the mice were inside the frame, tightly entrapped!
