my favorite season has always been fall.
even as a child.
I loved reading stories or poems set in the autumn. liking that name too.
is it a New England thing? the roots I mean? who knows.
so here I live in a part of the land that knows only heat and more heat! 🙂
yesterday it was 88 degrees.
so I relish any cool misty fall day that comes my way!
Fall is on my mind, and I may do more than think about it, maybe even write about it! I decided I’m ambivalent—there’s good and bad in fall and the season that inevitably follows. Being a gardener, there is less to do in winter, and as I become older (and more indolent) I welcome that!
Our winters aren’t bad here, and I don’t have to go out much, so I like them too. It would be different if I had to go out every day even if the weather was bad. I hope this coming one isn’t too bad for you.
it has been my favorite even since I was a child.
I never tire of its cool misty or crisply bright days.
maybe a New England in the blood thing? I don’t know.
it just is!
love the cartoon! LOL. only snoopy. joe cool!
I don’t know all the seasons have good/bad/ugly attached to them…Fall or as it is know here Autumn is mixed, we have a great deal of evergreen trees but also we do have many that lose their leaves. I used to like going somewhere, like a park and kicking up the leaves.
It’s Spring here now…Sth Hemisphere – but there have been many days very wintery. Yesterday was quite nice, it didn’t actually rain…but today dull, not looking like it would be day to wander away.
Our fall here is not like what you have over there. My favourite season is our just got over monsoon.

Yes, I remember you love the monsoon season. 🙂

Good luck on getting some decent fall weather! You have my complete sympathy.

Winters aren’t very here and I think of it as a time for reflection, so that part of autumn doesn’t bother me.
Fall is my FAVORITE!
Or maybe SPRING is!
Hmmm
Ok, it’s a tie.
(But Winter is definitely my least fav.)

It has always been mine, too. I find the weather invigorating, and going back to school was always exciting for me.
I love to watch the leaves change color. But I do not like that it is the harbinger of winter.
Are your winters harsh?

I still get excited by fallen leaves on the ground, even if it’s only on TV. 🙂
