  1. It really does, especially when they are the same age!

    LOL.
so many things are putting it into perspective for me these days. 🙂

Hm, maybe it doesn’t help to know our problems are not unique, we all die and so on. And yet the world of living fools and knaves resurrects itself over and over; unlikely tho it now seems, maybe we will do it again (and I include myself as a fool, have you been watching PBS’ Vietnam and realizing how thoroughly we were fooled? I was against the war but even so had no idea really how and why it went on and on and on.)

I haven’t watched it yet. I do remember reading about the area in high school and realizing how foolish it would be to get involved. Then in we jumped. 🙁

Nothing like getting a terminal cancer diagnosis to change one’s perspective! But to heck with it now. I’m just going to enjoy the BLT sandwich my husband has fixed for me.

  5. “Vietnam” is on my schedule—a must watch! And to think we lived through it, unsuspecting as we were! Who know what is making fools of us now…although I have a good idea!

I’m afraid I don’t/didn’t pay that much attention to the government propaganda. Andy and both learned the same lesson from Ike and the U2 incident — governments lie.

    • Jean says:

Here’s another example of how the government caused great harm. “[A] death toll three times greater than the total U.S. military deaths in the Vietnam War.”
