New Snow

As usual, DPLDT.

We just had a bit of snow (Thursday), but then the sun came out and it was pretty. My kind of winter. 🙂

At least it’s not so ungodly hot! I’m not saying I would like your present weather, but I have more trouble in summer than in winter. Fingers crossed you get some periods of good stuff!

Some heavy snowfalls here in Northern Ireland. It looks very picturesque until it turns to grey slush and starts to look horrible.

  3. I’ve spent over thirty years on the Pacific North West coast, where it seldom snows, but I still long for at least a touch of snow at Christmas. It’s not going to happen this year, we are told! Enjoy the white stuff, while it lasts.

We’re just cold… and very, very dry. It got down to 25°F here in Arkansas, but the snow went far south of us. Still, we’re not having the terrible, terrible fires that California is having, so we’re good!

    • Jean says:

Yes, those fires are horrendous. Are you in any danger of one?

    • Mike says:

No. Arkansas, on a county-by-county basis, institutes bans on outdoor burning when it gets too dry, which helps. As well, the wind doesn’t generally blow here like it does out west, so wild fires don’t spread as fast. November, though, is usually our wettest month and it was very dry going into November, but we got almost nothing.

We don’t get snow here but it is cold enough for warm clothing in the evenings, nights and early mornings. Days are pleasantly warm crisp and dry. I am enjoying the season.
