Three Quotes

The beauty of the awakened mind and heart arises naturally when we can empty ourselves of the burden of identity. The reality of the present is all there is, and in fully embodying this understanding we move into an open and spacious realm of creative insight and joyful expression. Finding what it is that brings us to life, moves us deeper into the Dharma and sharing that energy with the world is a profound statement. We demonstrate our liberation by offering it to everyone we can, using the awakened heart as our compass.
—Jack Kornfield

Why should we all use our creative power…? Because there is nothing that makes people so generous, joyful, bold and compassionate, so indifferent to fighting and the accumulation of objects and money.
—Brenda Ueland

Stay curious and open to life. No matter what happens keep learning and growing. Find what you love and find a way to share it with others.
—Cheerful Monk

I could bits and pieces from each – and I expect there are more quotes that sit well with me. One I like is my own “opportunities are everywhere…”

I’m making some changes to my coming year…I’m still going to be blogging but my f/b page is going to be more a picture, something I have snapped somewhere or one I have posed at home with objects…

I thought that might be fun and it will fit with my key word “adventurous” for 2018…along with additional word “magical” – although after I selected those two words, along came “quirky”

I like your key words, and “quirky” is good too.

I also love the word opportunity. I usually use it when things aren’t to my liking. I ask, “What’s the opportunity here?” It’s empowering, just like yours is.

    i’m with cathy.
    I like all three.
I have read some of kornfield’s books but it was years ago.
books have always been my how~to it seems encompassing everything.
now I seem to be content to relax into my life. I am still growing I hope but I don’t “work at it” so much. I like the idea of the river flowing.
as time gets shorter I’m enjoying it more!
