He could be jinxed, or he could be incredibly lucky that he wasn’t hurt more badly than he was. I don’t think I would like to take chances with him. Even if he was lucky, maybe he would attract danger to us and I wouldn’t fare as well. 😀

the thought always crosses my mind with the marine is hiking and camping in the wilds. mainly about the rattlesnakes and bears. both are prevalent where he goes. so far he never has kayaked in shark territories!
i came too close for comfort that time in the Bahamas when circled by a tiger shark. didn’t know until i read it on the internet MUCH later … that they can smell blood miles away. i had really gouged my shin on the boat and no doubt might have drawn his interest. eery feeling having him circle a little closer and a little closer. had i been that unlucky guy he might have just gone in for a bite!
Thankfully I’ve never been bitten by anything – not even a dog. Well, unless you count mosquitoes and wasps….
