We had a nice little downpour yesterday afternoon. (I made the video extra long for tammy.)
I’m saving this video for when it gets hot and dry again.
Andy wasn’t as excited about it. He said it started raining as he left the land, he would have to get up bright and early today to cut down all the bushes that would spring up over night. A bit of an exaggeration? Sure, but he has been spending some time every day to keep the plants down in his 50-foot defensible space around the house and shed.
Kaitlin and Torben helped a lot when they were here, extending the cleared area beyond 50 feet.
Here’s a pile of slash that they have hauled:
.
They will have a big bonfire if we ever get enough snow to burn it safely.
oh thank you for the wonderful video!
i’m keeping it. and like you… will play it when i simply need to hear that beautiful sound! and see the rain.
xoxo
Cheers. I thought of you when I took it. 🙂
bingo it’s raining here now, as I watch your clip – but getting a picture of it is going to be hard, because the windows have fogged up – mainly because I have the heating on, indoors! Trying to be careful, as haven’t had a great week with a kind of strep throat…so being indoors out of any changeable weather, best bet. I did go up the driveway with the recycling bin yesterday – I may not get out there today to return it…apparently it’s going to “rain” all of today!
Please take it easy and get well soon!
Love that vid of the rain! I’ll bookmark this so I can play it when our summer extends into the ‘desert’ phase, which inevitably happens in August!
Yes, it is refreshing. 🙂
We can do with some rain too. We are having 41F high and 22 F low swings with unusually for Pune high humidity at 66%.
That bonfire when it does take place will be something to see!
My apologies. Could you please change the temperature to C instead of F?
Thanks.
I didn’t even notice the F. I’m well aware of your temperatures. Yuck!
