Kaitlin, Torben, and Tempi said their final goodbye to Sammy this afternoon. It was time.
Tempi expressed our feelings in her post yesterday,
So, in order to fully appreciate all he has done for us, all those brave smiles/countless walks, kisses and memories he has provided me and everyone who knows him it is with a sad heart but everlasting gratitude that I will be there tomorrow….
Yes, there are tears in my eyes as I write this, but the gratitude is overwhelming. Goodbye, Sweet Boy. Thank you.

placed a comment at Montana Moments – but also know that everyone involved in a closer proximity will be grieving – but also it seems from the MM posts that there is much to be grateful for – the memories and so on…
Yes, there is a lot to be grateful for. He was 15 1/2, quite old for a large dog like him.
goodbye darling Sammy.
you are loved. and oh! your smile. that Sammy smile.
Yes, it won’t be forgotten. It will always warm my heart to think of it. š
Omg, when I saw the post title in my email my heart sank.
Sweet sweet Sammy.
The sun shined a bit brighter with Sammy in this world.
Iām so sorry.
He was such a special dog.
My deepest sympathies.
xoxoxo
Yes, the sun shone brighter and spirits lifted. š
I’m sorry to hear that. And yes, what a lovely smile he had.
Thank you.
RIP.
Yes he’s out of pain now.
What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful soul and treasure whose life was so intertwined within the fabric of a family he was so lucky to be a part of. I know there is nothing I can say to take away that ache that is felt at Sammy’s loss, but I hope comfort is found in knowing that he had a wonderful, full and long life, and in those memories of Sammy that can never be taken away.
Thank you. There are 15 years of wonderful memories, plus a lot of pictures. In the long run that helps a lot.
