We were gone over four hours today — about two driving back and forth to Santa Fe and two hours at the eye doctor’s for Andy’s shot in his left eye. We’ll go back next week for the right eye. The shots do seem to be helping. Now Andy has to have them only every seven weeks for the left eye, every eight for the right. As long as they keep him seeing we’re not complaining! He still has no trouble driving up to the land without glasses.
Tomorrow we go to Española to see a neurologist. I’ll let you know how that goes.
Do you get the idea we’re not getting any younger? 😀

I assume you had something to eat/drink whilst you were out – maybe even a side visit to some store to buy or look at some widgets…
It’s always good to combine trips – although I suppose you could do that on your next trip … which is I know is the major troubling one at this moment.
We mostly buy online or here in town, so we don’t go to Santa Fe to shop. We didn’t have to leave here until 11:50, so we had lunch before we left. Mostly the appointments are sometime in the morning so we drive straight home to have a late lunch, but there’s a fast food place that’s convenient if we need to eat on the way. It’s nice to have that choice.
I get the idea. and I also get that you’re handling it the way you do everything else… with a calm happiness that it’s working and that you can both just take care of it.
still. every time you say Andy got ” a shot in his eye” it just makes me wince!
I can’t EVEN imagine that! even just to think about it!
kudos to you both dear Monk! xo
Apparently it doesn’t hurt much, but it’s still yucky! But the shots seem ot work, which is the main thing.
Actually, with all the toing and froing that you two are undertaking, I am getting the contrary idea!
All the best to both of you.
Thank you!
Andy gets a shot in his actual eyeball?!!!!!!!
Omg.
But if it works, it’s obviously worth it!
still….OOOOW!
Yes, straight in the eyeball, and so far it’s working for him. I have a friend who isn’t so lucky, but she’s hoping they can stop the progression. It’s scary stuff.
