There are few things in life more wonderful than knowing where you want to go and being on the path to getting there.

I spent a lot more time today immersing myself in my site cleanup, and I had trouble putting it down. I’m about half through with it now and have developed an efficient system so even if the rest of my life intrudes it will be easy to work on it in bits and pieces. It’s a good feeling, and I’m pleased.

great to hear that you’ve got it back under control – or is that “new control” –
I’ve spent some of today, “making marks on paper/etc” with or without a brush…mostly in grunge colours but with a touch of deep ruby/pink and some gold…I think some blue crept in.
Going to try and make some sensible piles of things tomorrow…which might even lead to making an actual handmade booklet!
I’m enjoying the challenge — it’s good mental exercise and it’s fun to see continual progress.
My making marks on paper isn’t going as well, but I am committed to doing a few minutes a day on it, even though “few” is often a very short time! I’m not trying to get anything accomplished with that part of my life, I just want it as a resource in case I need it in the future.
I’m glad your projects are going well.
I need to ‘clean up’ my files as well. I don’t know why I always think it has to be done all “in one swell foop!” I will take your approach and at least start.
the files I’m talking about are things I’ve come across that I didn’t feel like reading at the time but didn’t want to lose. computer-wise though… not paper.
that at least I have under control. knock on wood! I just don’t have the storage space!
Often getting started is the hardest part. Once I did on this last project I really got into the flow state and had no problem working on it.
What a good idea—starting off the New Year with your site all cleaned up and ready! I have done that recently, with the help of a tecchi. But now I have to address the many files of pictures, which are in a terrible mess. Wish me luck!
My pictures since the 2011 fire are fairly well organized, but before this last project I was starting to organize the older ones so I can efficiently make backups. It’s a big job!
My favorite Earnie Larsen saying is, “It doesn’t matter if you are willing to do something. It only matters if you are willing to do what it takes.”
I have always been perfectly willing to watch “weeds” grow rather than do what it takes to have a “perfect” lawn.
I like dandelions better than lawns! đŸ˜€
