Andy did have snow up in the mountains yesterday:
We had another 8 to 10 inches down here last night and some businesses were closed, some opened late. Andy went down to get his driver’s license renewed around 9 but they were closed, so he went back at 11. He passed the eye test with flying colors so is very happy about that.
He drove up around 2 pm to see if they had plowed Dome Road, and they had:
He plans to drive as far as the fire station tomorrow and snowshoe in. Life is one adventure after another.

I have only admiration for him!
and I love that the snow stays pristine and beautiful. not like in the city.
which is soon a slushy mess!
It’s especially pretty now because the snow is new. 🙂
Snow shoeing is the best way to enjoy the beauty of the snow. But I hate driving in it.
Are those solar panels in the second photo?
I do too! I’m lucky and can mostly avoid doing it. Andy doesn’t mind it so much except when he has to put chains on the tires — that’s a real pain.
Thank you for visiting our blog. Not sure where you are, but it looks like you’ve gotten a lot of snow too!
Take care!
Thank you for sharing your pups!
We live in the mountains of northern New Mexico. Where are you? What part of Michigan?
wow that “snow” looks gorgeous but then you know my take on “snow” – now my trip if I was to take in say 3 months time, would definitely include “snow” because I’m going down to winter sports counties…but hoping not to encounter any as I know I’ll be ill equipped to be in it…yep, I’ll have my possum/merino gloves, thermal jacket but that’s not going to cut a great deal of mustard if it was “snowing”….
Yes, you are traveling at a good time!
That’s a lot of snow. So how far of a trek is it when Andy has to snowshoe from the fire station?
From the fire station is two miles, but today he only had to walk one, and just one way. Thank goodness.
Still jealous of your snow! We have a quick moving storm coming through this morning, and it’ll be melted as fast as it comes. I never minded (too much) driving on snow, it’s that ice that always worries me.
Enjoy your Wednesday!
I’m with you about ice — it’s scary stuff!
That’s a lot of snow. We got about four inches overnight. We are loving it but would welcome yours here too:)
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
I love your video. It looks like you were having a blast. 🙂
Hooray for Andy!
The snow would be pretty if I wasn’t so sick of it.
😉
How late does spring come where you are? Fingers crossed for you.
Jean,
Spring is usually showing signs about now but…
This is a weird year.
The weather is usually much the same as Chicago has.
