For free, visitors can fly over the Champs de Mars at about 55 miles per hour, over 375 feet above the ground, landing at the Lโรcole Militaire. The gravity-defying addition to the Eiffel Tower is only available until June 11.
Perrier set up the ride to celebrate the French Open. In fact, as participants fly across it, they will going the same speed as a tennis ball when itโs served.
Only 100 people will be able to fly across it each day while itโs open. It takes off from the second floor of the Eiffel Tower
—You Can Now Zip Line Off the Eiffel Tower for Free
I’m happy to stay home!
June 9, 2019
Well I certainly like things that are free but I don’t think I could do that.
Even if they offered to pay for my trip to Paris, I would skip it!
I won’t be going to France anytime soon, so look like I will miss out.
Coffee is on
Even if I were in Paris I would pass!
me too!
I’ll be happy to miss it. ๐ xo

I’d like to do a zip line but not off the Eiffel Tower.
I have no desire to try a zip line — I’m afraid of heights!
I think I’ll pass on that one. Since the fun or fear or whatever only lasts a few minutes, why bother? There are much more prolonged and satisfying ways of enjoying yourself. The cable car at Queenstown in New Zealand is almost vertical and very exciting!
Cable cars are worth it for me. Even then I hang on tightly.
Nope. Not me. I’ve developed what I consider a very healthy respect for heights. Clipped to and dangling from a cable crosses a line for me.
Me too!
I wouldn’t like to zip line from anywhere, and especially not from the Eiffel Tower! Just not built for it, but can’t help marveling at people who do this stuff!
It’s another great example of how we’re all built differently.
We have friends who left France just before this became active. Otherwise he, at least, would have done it. Not me!
I know also people who would love to do it. They do bungee jumping.
https://www.ecozipadventures.co.nz/ – I think there are few others around my country as well, but I’ve not attempted them…I’m not keen on anything that involves a “harness”
I think the views from yours are a lot nicer than Paris. ๐
