They’re on their way! One tradition I love is Kaitlin sending me a picture of the current pups when they leave to drive here for a visit. This picture again shows the pups’ different personalities.
It looks as if they’ll be able to stay up on the land, but Andy will probably have to plow to keep the road open, and there’s a storm watch for the area they’re driving through — Nebraska and Colorado.
Kaitlin says they aren’t worried, they have water, emergency food, and blankets just in case.
Fingers crossed — I will let you know how it goes. They’re supposed to be here Sunday morning, and we hope the trip isn’t as adventuresome as the one last year!

I wonder if they dropped down into our state and then went west. have they ever checked that out? it’s like spring here. the most we’re supposed to get is rain. I wouldn’t mind a little snow! but driving in it for hours as it deepens is a whole other thing. xoxo
Yes, they considered that way but when they decided the weather looked better the way they’re coming. We did your way more than once, when we used to drive to see them.
The shadow on the light colored dog on the left looks like E-T.
You’re right. I didn’t notice that until you pointed it out, now it’s hard not to see it. 🙂
Oh my. Yes it does!!
I do hope they have a safe trip!
Thanks. Kaitlin just wrote to say they’re in their motel and everything is fine so far.
Oops! She just wrote,
Yes, fingers crossed they will be safe, even if the trip takes longer than they had hoped.
they both look different as you say – but Tempi looks more or less like a well behaved human – as if to say “yep, we are all in the vehicle, we must be going some place together…maybe I will need to be on my best behavior” where as Zoe seems to be saying “hey good folks we are on our way…looking forward to lots of new smells and of course any adventures…(inwardly thinking “steak”)”
I note they will be probably up on the land, now that’s a new adventure Zoe, that big black monster waiting for you to check out the surrounds…
Zoe has been up there before Her first trip was in July, 2018, shortly after she was adopted. They came last January but were snowed out from the land, then came this past July.
I love that photo!
They look so cute, sitting there bound for adventure!
Fingers crossed!
I love it too!
Safe travels to them.
Thank you.
