No Pictures From Andy

When Andy left yesterday morning I asked him to take some pictures, expecting there would be some snow. When he came home he said he didn’t take any because it was so foggy there wasn’t anything to see. He had to drive in very slowly to make sure he didn’t run off the road.

The overcast seems to be lightening up today, so we’ll see. He planned to plow to make sure we can drive in with Kaitlin, Torben, and the pups.

They been sending us periodic weather reports. One said they were out of the snow, then they sent one saying

The snow is back!

It included these pictures of the pups looking out at it coming down.

And later they send a picture of them in the snow while the folks were recharging the car.

Andy and I don’t have a use for a smart phone because the reception is so poor up on the land and we scarcely travel. But I’m so glad Kaitlin and Torben do, and that they are willing to take the time to keep us updated at times like this.

Update:
They got to the motel about 8:15, so we will see them tomorrow morning!

YES! it’s being totally out of contact that’s so hard.
the pups are much like little children! I bet they like the snow. at least for a short while!
we’ve had a cold light rain all day but never snow. we need the moisture badly.
I know you’ll let us know when K and T and the furries get there safely! xoxo

I think back to how it used to be…when I could only afford to call my mom every weekend…an before that I think either once a month or every two weeks. Back when we had to pay long distance.

  3. okay – so your family is soon to be with you…

Having the cell phones is so much more convenient than it was back when I was younger. Not only making it easy to keep in touch and let people know if you’re running late but being able to call for help if you run into trouble.

  7. Road trips and dogs – I know that very well. I hope they’ve arrived safely!
