This article suggests some questions to ask other people to get to know them better. I think they’re also great questions to ask ourselves to tune into what’s going on in our lives.
What excites you right now?
What are you looking forward to?
What’s the best thing that happened to you this year?
What do you do for fun?
The first question is the one that excites me the most, and it’s one that connects me to what’s going on in my life right now, in this very moment. Do you relate to any of them?
January 10, 2020
I am looking forward to warm weather…LOL And it has not been very cold so far. I really don’t know how to answer any of these…I quilt and play with fabric for fun right now, when things are going okay. If Roger feels bad, I don’t feel like doing anything. When it gets warmer, I will fish a tiny bit. Since Roger’s stroke, he does not care for fishing much, so I seldom go. And I do like to fish, but it is the being out that is good for me. Fishing makes me focus on it…and forget everything else.
I hope I can get back to take more pics again…
I hope you have some nice weather soon, so you can get out and have a break. Your pictures are amazing and a lot of us love looking at them.
Right at this moment I think I’m just too worn out for anything to excite me.
I’m looking forward to our monthly family dinner that will be a week from this Sunday.
I wish you didn’t have to work so hard, but I’m glad your family is so close.
What is exciting you now?
What’s going on that is making you excited?
I think I know, I think having health and being curious brings you excitement? But maybe there’s something else I’m not aware of.
Reading this article, and maybe I have a problem but…
Most of these I wouldn’t give an answer to any of them to a complete stranger.
I’d answer the -where did you grow up question
And the – what’s the most important thing you should know about me question.
In fact THAT question I’d like people to know so that we don’t waste each other’s time.
🙂
Where did you grow up Cindi? I’m with you — that’s a good question. i grew up in a little town across the bay from San Francisco. It’s no longer as little or isolated as it was then.
They are good and thought provoking questions! I have a few things that I’m looking forward to this year, and I’m also looking forward to our first good snowfall and being home – I do love my snowdays!
You need a lot more days at home!
I’m just in love with certain aspects of my life, the one of course I truly love is “mixed media” and “making”
What’s been good about this year? The fact I can start afresh in some areas and really forget things that happened over the last year, that were not particularly joyful…
However, I’m still not joyful about the sciatica which appears to be thinking of just niggling away most days at some point…apparently it will “go” and I’m already helping it go but it would be nice for it to be “gone”
I’m so glad you have your art, your “making”, and good luck with the sciatica.
Four great questions. An improvement on “So what do YOU do” or “Have you travelled far?” What excites me is music, a long summer’s walk, a well-written book, a delicious meal. What I’m looking forward to is a trip to the Liverpool Art Biennal in the summer. The best thing that happened to me in 2019 was being told that my trace of prostate cancer had disappeared, and visiting New Zealand. For fun, I mess around on Facebook and write my blog and go to my local book group.
Thank you for answering! It reminds us of what we’re grateful for.
Hmm, wonder why my reply popped up under Ann’s comment.
Sorry Ann, I was asking Jean that question.
I just now answered it there. It doesn’t matter. Thanks for answering!
Where did I grow up?….
Contain your excitement, but I grew up 10 blocks from where I live now
And on the same avenue. Yep, walk a straight line out my front door to the East (weaving through neighbors) You would be at the house that my father built.
If you went out my back door and could walk straight through on the same avenue going West for 16 blocks, you’d be at the high school I graduated from.
Aaarrgh
And wait, it gets better. I live on one of the main streets in my town.
If you walk out my front door and walk 18 blocks to the north, you’d come to an assisted living/home that used to be a hospital.
I was born there and so was my sister.
My mom died there.
If you come out my front door and walk 17 blocks to the south instead, you’d come to the cemetery where both my parents are entombed.
And now you know about where I grew up and possibly more.
Jeez, maybe I need to move!!!! ?
LOLOLOL
Thank you!! 😀 I do think that’s exciting.
